NUR-SULTAN, Kazakhstan – Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Askar Mamin has set the task to completely eliminate the need for paper certificates in 2021.
“In general, we must completely eliminate the need for paper certificates already in 2021, introduce the delivery of services from the Government for Citizens corporation and increase the availability of all online services and services to almost 100%,” Mamin told a government meeting on November 17.
The prime minister instructed the Ministry of Digital Development, together with interested government agencies, to approve a plan for transferring all socially significant public services to the eGov mobile application.
Earlier, Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed to ensure a complete digitization of the processes associated with the appointment and payment of pensions and benefits.
By the end of 2020, the indicator of public services in the social and labour sphere in electronic format will be brought to 90%, Mamin said.
“The Ministry of Health is obliged to ensure that citizens are provided with the necessary electronic medical information. The Ministry of Labour, together with government agencies, is obliged to ensure the complete digitisation and updating of data necessary for the digitalisation of the processes of assigning payments of pensions and benefits,” the Kazakh premier said.
Mamin also said it is necessary to simplify as much as possible the mechanism for obtaining a mortgage and pledging. He said special attention should be paid to explanatory work on innovations in the field of digitalisation of public services.
